Immigration has formed and transformed our country since the first Native Americans came across the Bering Land Bridge from Siberia.  Columbus, Ohio has not been immune to the waves of immigration that have swept the country.  From German to Italian Villages we can see these immigrants lasting legacy.  A new wave of immigration is coming to Columbus and we are now the most ethnically diverse city in Ohio, and that ethnicity is growing at a rate faster than most of the nation.  We will hear about historic immigration patterns and issues from noted historian, author and CHS board member Ed Lentz.  A panel discussion with more recent immigrants will follow to hear their stories and experiences and how they are shaping our city.  Featuring Lourdes Barroso de Padilla, Executive director, City Year, panelist.
