Join us for a presentation given by local historian Tom Lane on the history of capital punishment in Ohio. This presentation will focus on the use of the electric chair from 1897-1963 and some of the 315 inmates who died in it.
About the Presenter:
Tom Lane is a long-time volunteer at the Mansfield Reformatory and was one of the people responsible for replacing the replica of the State of Ohio Electric Chair with the original State of Ohio Electric Chair in the Ohio Penal Museum in Mansfield. Over the past four years he has been researching the State of Ohio Electric Chair and its historical use.
The event is free but registration is required.
