In 2021, the City of Columbus transferred ownership of the Harrison House and Sullivant Land office site to the Columbus Historical Society.  The Harrison House, built in 1807, is used for small events, exhibits, and meetings.  The Sullivant Land Office, built in 1822, has been restored to an early 1800s land office and is used for educational programming.  The Columbus Historical Society Board has created the Friends of Franklinton Committee to ensure a Franklinton history focus at the site.
